Protest with banners outside the Federal Attorney General Office (PGR) catches the attention towards Jesus Murillo Karam

June 18, 2014 at 11 am local time, picketers were standing outside the premises of the Federal Attorney General Office on avenue Paseo de la Reforma. The participants, family members of the suspects in the kidnapping and assassination of Hugo Alberto Wallace, were referring to the multiple accusations against Isabel Miranda de Wallace, owner of Showcase and president of the organization Alto al secuestro (Stop the Kidnapping). All of the evidence allegedly held by the accused proves that Hugo Wallace is in fact alive.

During this event, the media was following up on Brenda Quevedo Cruz’s mother and Jael Malagón Uscanga’s mother. During the interviews, they demanded the prosecutor to investigate Mrs. de Wallace for Hugo Alberto’s double identity, where he was supposed to have two different birth certificates and one registry code (CURP) processed five years after his death. Moreover, the suspects’ mothers claim the innocence of their children arguing that they were forced to confess under the influence of threats and tortures during their imprisonment.
