Mr. Taheri is in prison since May 4th, 2011 in charge of blasphemy and spreading corruption on earth. He has started his 16th hunger strike because of the unclear status of his case and illegal confinement by Islamic revolutionary guard of Iran. It has been reported that Mohammad Ali Taheri was beaten during integration by the integrator in the 5th day of his hunger strike in order to force him to break it. There is no report of the severity of the injuries after beating.

It’s worth mentioning that Mr. Taheri was supposed to be released on February 7th, 2016 but his detention period has been extended several times and for the last 3 months he was under custody without any legal arrest warrant.
